Google Japan sought to craft a cohesive brand experience for their major event, one that elegantly unified traditional Japanese aesthetics with Google's global visual identity. The core challenge was to honor and authentically represent the cultural depth of Japan, while seamlessly aligning it with Google's iconic, contemporary design approach.

We designed a comprehensive visual storytelling system rooted in minimalist Japanese aesthetics, artfully combined with Google's bold, vibrant identity. By thoughtfully incorporating delicate traditional patterns, neutral color palettes, and subtle cultural motifs, we successfully balanced heritage with modernity.

The event’s visual identity was widely praised for its respectful yet innovative synthesis of tradition and contemporary design, setting a new benchmark for culturally integrated branding at Google.
